Colombia Maria Camila Gallego
Maria Camila Gallego’s Caturra coffee is a single-origin offering from La Arboleda farm in Jardín, Antioquia, Colombia, cultivated at an altitude of 1,750 meters. Maria Camila, a third-generation coffee grower and former fashion designer, is the first woman in her family to carry on the coffee-growing legacy. Her dedication to quality is evident in her meticulous processing methods: cherries are hand-harvested, double-sorted, pulped, fermented for 30 hours, then washed and dried using traditional Colombian techniques.
The resulting cup is delicate and nuanced. Our tasting notes include:
- Caramel and vanilla
- Apple peel and apricot
- Milk chocolate and lemongrass
- Black tea-like body with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel
Maria Camila’s work is a testament to her passion and the rich heritage of Colombian coffee cultivation
